Was it not harder to go from white paper drawing to a pitch black drawing area which magically turned white again when we printed the drawing for further inspection?Īnd do you use black paper when printing documents? No, simply because the human brain is pretty bad at picking small, glowing, objects from a dark background and this will strain the eyes in the long term. How would a Macintosh with black windows and white text look like? :wink: That was because we had not Macintoshes, Windows or GEM computers yet. It was many years ago we had dark background and white/green/yellow objects (DOS, Wordstar, Autocad R10 and beyond). "All" other workspaces in the software universe have a bright (white normally) background and dark information upon that workspace. For those who complain about the black cursor.
